Maggie Valley Sanitary District

PLEASE READ THE FOLLOWING NOTICE REGARDING YOUR WATER SERVICE

On March 31st, 2020, Governor Roy Cooper signed Executive Order 124, which outlines operating
provisions for utility service providers, including Maggie Valley Sanitary District.

As your water service provider, we would like to inform you that as of March 31st, 2020, the
following applies:

1.    All residential disconnections will be suspended for a period of sixty (60) days,

2.   No new penalties (non payment, late fees, etc) will be assessed for at least sixty (60) days.
Returned check fees and other administrative fees will continue to be assessed (deposits for new
service, etc)

3.   Fees for water, sewer, and sanitation services will continue to be billed and will be due at
the expiration of the sixty (60) day period. Payment arrangements for outstanding balances can
extend up to six months past the expiration of the executive order.  Maggie Valley Sanitary
District will divide any unpaid charges into 6 equal payments in addition to the usual monthly
billing.

This order allows customers to have continued water service until May 31st, 2020. You are
encouraged to pay your bill amount each month by phone, online, or by using the drop box location
for Maggie Valley Sanitary District administrative office at 122 Rich Cove Road, Maggie Valley, NC 
28751. Our drive thru is also located at 122 Rich Cove Road and open from 8:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.
Monday thru Friday.
Any unpaid amounts not paid will be due at the expiration of the executive order.
